Happy Independence Day ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Hello everyone!! Hope you all are awesome ๐Ÿคฉ

Today is very important day for me and all Indians.

Today is the Independence day of India.
The Independence Day in India is celebrated every year on the 15th of August. On 15th August 1947, India achieved her Independence from British rule and became a sovereign nation.

On the eve of 15th August 1947, India tricolour ( saffron, green and white) flag was first hoisted by Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first prime minister of Independent India, at the Red Fort of Delhi( India’s capital)

Red fort, New Delhi

“Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we will redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance….We end today a period of I’ll fortune, and India discovers herself again.” – Jawaharlalal Nehru ( Speech on Indian Independence Day, 25th August 1947)
Independence Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in all over the India. On this day tributes are paid to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives to gain the freedom for India. The main event takes place in New Delhi, where the Prime Minister hoists the National Flag at the Red Fort accompanied with the gun shots, parade, amazing performances and music.

Some things are just can’t expressed in words,

My eyes are little wet seeing the free flying birds.

But these are tears of happiness.

Thanks to the fearless leaders, who face it all,

Making tough time pass by .

There may be many things, can’t be lived without.

But freedom is what I cherish the most without any doubt.

Love can speak volume when words become less.

Love for freedom if some has left us blessed.

Blessed with this freedom, these moments we share.

Let’s learn to love the people around us,

Care for our nation in every possible way.

Come let us together and wish our beautiful India.๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

Happy Independence Day.

In Hindi we say,

Swatantrta Diwas Mubarak ho!!

Have a great day ๐Ÿค—

Keep smiling ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜€

      1. Do you like the Moguls, Jyoti, I am greatly interested in them. I have heard they came from Samarkhand (Uzbekistan) and settled in India at 1526. I absolutely love to know everything about them! As someone living there, do you have some information for me? ๐Ÿ™‚

      2. Great!! You can also search for Ashoka, the great!!
Well, it’s not a proven fact but books tells us that Ashoka had killed his 99 brothers to attain the throne!!
You can read him, very interesting!!

      3. Well, Akhbar had 36 wives. And Jahangir had 32. But 101 sons… quite unbelievable.
Well, you said, Ashoka may have killed 99 brothers. Who’s the lucky one to escape? And didn’t he have any sisters?

He spare his one brother named Vitashoka or Tishya.. I think he was his real brother ( I am not sure)

      5. I see.
In Cygnet, our Zkeiyo (a religion community) rulers value their family most, so killing brothers for throne is quite rare. But Mhokaizi Arata (whom I call the counterpart of Aurangzeb) tried it nonetheless. They usually had 4 brothers… so 101— well :0

Itโ€™s night now, and still half an hour to go for supper.
        And I donโ€™t know,, whatโ€™s chapatiโ€ฆ
PS When do you usually get up?

But we eat Rice of earth too, along with soup and egg and meat and chocolates in lucky days.
Goodness, I can never wake up so early! What do you do usually at morning?
According to Earth clock, I mostly get up at 7:45 am.

      10. One day, I would give you a virtual tour of Cygnet ๐Ÿ™‚
It varies from culture to culture but for us Quya people (a sub-group of Zkeiyo) we have a seasonal dumpling for each special season. Currently enjoying the Stormy one, which is quite spicy. ๐Ÿ™‚
Do you live near the hills?

      12. We don’t actually have houses, but Clans.
Each Clan is like a different stream of study, with unique subject combination, uniform and location.
My Clan is Blue, or the Clan of Springs. We study way of Nature and writing here. Our classrooms are underground.
Our Red Clan or the Clan of Summer is about science and technologies.

        1. Clan of Spring (Blue) for Nature
        2. Clan of Summer (Red) for Science
        3. Clan of Autumn (Black) for Animals
        4. Clan of Winter (White) for Paranormal
        5. Clan of Tsuyu (Violet) for portals.

Well, he came in our school in class 9th. And he doesn’t know it, only my 3 school friends know and now you know too….๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€I really hesitate in taking with him and become shy. But I talk with his best friend, by this way I sometimes talk with him too…

      15. Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me. ๐Ÿ™‚
I know many secrets of my classmates, Earth and Cygnet both, and I never tell it to anyone.
Your story is so sweet! Why don’t you write a tale about it, hiding your and his name with false names? That way, we could learn more about it, and your secret won’t be exposed either.

      16. Oh yes, dear โค๏ธ I Know you will not expose it…
        That’s a awesome idea ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•
I will work on it soon ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€ thank you for it๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ’•

      17. In Earth, NEVER.
In Cygnet… well, a tinny tiny very little microscopic crush on a classmate… But never tell him! He always eats my head.
And there’s a girl, 16 yrs old to calls me her “wife”. You can say I have a crush on her ๐Ÿ˜€
        What about you?

      18. Well, I want to be loyal to him, so I feel it’s not right to fall for some other boys just because he does not exist in Earth. Love can travel infinite distance, and I always have him in my heart and head.
I like introverts better, but H. (I’m not telling is full name because he can poke his nose everywhere) is real crazy! Moody, stubborn, careless, tactless, fearless. Introvert too, but a very wild type. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I have not been there myself, nor have I stood in his time, but I’ve heard that Taj Mahal (actually named Mumtaz Mahal) was not entirely built on love.
Shah Jahan (the 5th Mogul emperor and maker of Taj Mahal) was fond of architecture and lavish shades of life. Highly extravagant, he had always aimed to be a glory of the world. True, he loved Mumtaz Mahal, his second wife and mother to his 14 children. When she died during the childbirth of Gauhar Ara Begum (their 14th child) he was stuck with grief and decided to build on a memorial for her. It took him 22 years and 20000 labours to do so… but once he was finished, he blinded his chief architect and cut the thumbs of each and every workers. If he had made this purely out of love why such a cruel act?
I hope you don’t mind me telling all this trivia ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Well, this is true Sophie โค๏ธ
actually many of only see one side of history. I totally agree with you. He was a extravagant and his son Aurangzeb prisoned him as he knows his father’s lavish nature and also the nature of spending money recklessly.
        Thank you for your views!!

      2. Well, I am weird, I know, but I hate Akbar. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ He pitted the brothers Salim (later known as Jahangir) and Murad and Daniel to ignite hostility. He pitted Khusrau against Salim. For him, the young and brave Khusrau had to face such a fate. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
He was an incredible administrator, I know, but certainly not a good family man.
Babar is always a LION! (Babar literally means Lion in Urdu) Always great.

      3. Not only that, Aurangzeb killed his elder brother, and shah Jahan’s beloved son, Dara Shikoh and “presented” his head while the former emperor was having a dinner. Shah Jahan is said to have fainted and started tearing his beard in agony.

  2. It is two days late! But many many wishes of the Independence Day- a day of special significance and something that was achieved after a long struggle and many sacrifices.
I was telling my kids about India’s first war of Independence of 1857, the atrocities during the Colonial rule, the struggle and Non-Cooperative movements and many more things.
And glad to see so many wishes, even from folks outside India on this occasion.

Jai Hind and may God bless our India with great days ahead !!

      1. Yes, I believe that they should be aware of what we are as a nation and whys and hows of our history and present.
This would make them responsible citizens of this country and also help them in their life goals.
